Places

Discover the many adventures available at Montana Mountains park. You'll find activities for all seasons of the year and for visitors of all ages and fitness levels.

WINTER ACTIVITIES

SCI

The altitude of the park allows us to make many different slopes available to visitors, for skiers of all levels. The ski season begins with the first heavy snowfall (usually around mid-November) and typically continues until mid-March.

CLIMBING

Climbing is relatively new to the park and incredibly popular. We offer several climbing walls and a 3-hour preparation course for new climbers. You can rent climbing equipment at the main park office.

HELISKI

Reach the most challenging mountains and hilly landscapes with our heliskiing package. You will be able to reach the most remote areas of the park and enjoy an extremely personalized and fun skiing adventure.

SUMMER ACTIVITIES

BICYCLE

In the park you will find hundreds of miles of paved and off-road riding trails. Be prepared for very strong winds if riding on higher elevation trails and for any slippery conditions. Make sure you wear protection.

TREKKING

Bring trekking poles, sturdy shoes and lots of high-energy food, because once you start walking the park's trekking trails, you'll never want to stop. All our trails are clearly marked according to difficulty level.

CAMPING

There are more than 180 campsites within the park and demand is very high, so book early. Keep in mind that better-equipped campsites have basic amenities, such as running water and bathrooms, that you won't find in more isolated campsites.

WILDLIFE

You will find an incredible variety of wildlife roaming freely in the park. Have fun taking photos, but make sure you keep the right distance. Furthermore, respect the animals because the park is their home.

CANOE TOURS

Traveling by canoe is one of the most relaxing ways to enjoy the park. Cruise slowly, enjoying the scenery. At the park there are two shops where you can rent canoes and equipment.

EQUITATION

Horseback riding has been part of the park since its designation in 1900. Horses, mules, and llamas are found on the park's designated trails, contributing to its special atmosphere.

CLIMATE

TEMPERATURE
Autumn temperatures can vary from 10 to 15 °C. Possible scattered showers, typical of the season.
COLORS
The autumnal shades of the woods, vineyards and fields reach their maximum splendor between mid-October and early November. The bright reds, the burnt browns, the warm yellows are very accentuated in this period and every tour in the Tuscan countryside fills the eyes with splendid scenery: be it the Chianti vineyards, the woods of the Apennines and Amiata, the hills of the Val d'Orcia, every ride on the Tuscan roads will be an intense immersion in the palette of autumn colours. It goes without saying that those who love taking photos will be able to take home unforgettable shots.
