HOW TO GET
Reaching Montalcino, Abbadia and Val d'Orcia is possible:
BY CAR
From NORTH
use the FLORENCE – SIENA highway, exit at SIENA SUD and take the SS2 (Cassia) towards Rome.
From SOUTHtravel along the entire SS2 (Cassia) towards Siena, turning towards Montalcino
From WEST
you need to take the GROSSETO – SIENA SS223 highway, turn right at Paganico SP64, continue following the signs for MONTE AMIATA.
BY PLANE
The closest airports are Pisa and Florence. Slightly further away Rome. For the main ports of call from Northern Europe, particularly Scandinavia, we recommend Bologna, Bergamo or Milan.
